The Greater Dandenong Community Infrastructure Study was a holistic and multi-disciplinary study into community facilities in central Dandenong and the Springvale activity centre. The study has provided Council with a robust framework to realise future integrated community hubs in each centre.

For this study, WRA undertook a review of existing community facilities in central Dandenong and Springvale, assessing existing buildings, urban context, location, and access.  

From this work, a Needs Analysis and future facility briefs were developed, and Council have progressed with the following projects: 

• Springvale Civic Master Plan (undertaken by WRA and Tract)  

• Springvale City Hall Redevelopment, designed and documented by WRA and currently under construction 

• Springvale Community Centre (by others)
