Moorabbin Reserve Redevelopment

St Kilda Football Club and City of Kingston
Moorabbin VIC, in Bunurong country
2018
$31m contract value

The redevelopment is focused on the use of the Oval for Australian Rules Football with it being used by local and AFL / VFL football clubs and leagues for over 60 years.

In addition to St Kilda FC who have maintained their social club and limited player training presence on site since relocating the club administration offices and training base to Seaford in 2008, the reserve has become the base for local junior and senior football administration and competition.

An emphasis for the project has been to achieve a wider community benefit with several placemaking concepts developed around community health and well-being, children’s play space, community events and gatherings such as markets and festivals, celebrating weekend footy, live music, and walking / running trails for people and dogs.
