It’s exciting times at the Horsham Town Hall site in the heart of Horsham as the $17.5m redevelopment for Horsham Rural City Council continues to progress at a rapid rate. Construction of the new 500-seat theatre, back of house facilities with supporting amenities and the frame for a new façade on Pynsent Street are well underway. Completion of construction is anticipated in late 2015.
“The facility is intended to be the new centre of Horsham’s cultural life,” Project Director Chris Hose said.
Current works on site involve the restoration of the existing art-deco town hall auditorium including fit out and additional amenities for the wonderful regional Art Gallery.
With the majority of structural elements now in place, focus is turning to fitting out the spaces, wall linings and services infrastructure prior to the installation of claddings and finishes in the coming months.
