Aqualink Box Hill was an existing aquatic facility comprehensively redeveloped and expanded to meet current day standards and the future needs of staff, users, swim and sporting clubs, and the wider community of Box Hill.

The aim of the redesign was to greatly improve the existing site amenity and provide additional recreational facilities to creating a multi-program leisure centre.

Since its redevelopment, Aqualink Box Hill attracted massive support from the city’s residents.  

Each week the aquatic, fitness and sport centre attracts 17,000 users and 2,020 learn-to-swim participants while fitness memberships exceed 3,500. 

The new centre's leading-edge, environmentally sustainable design presents spacious and flexible aquatic and dry facilities — gaining Aqualink recognition as one of the most innovative centres in Australia.

The site is located within Surrey Park, inner suburban parkland located within the Whitehorse Shire. The design enhances the user’s relationship with the Surrey Park site and the diversity of social and recreational experiences to be encountered within the park.
