$5-$27m contract budget
WRA conducted the Operational Review and Redevelopment Feasibility Study to identify the future of the Karralyka Theatre and Functions Centre at Ringwood conducted in association with Rob Gebert Pty Ltd.
Eight operating models were explored, and five development scenarios identified, of which four were taken into concept design and costings. The concept scenarios identified potential for staged upgrades ranging from compliance and general fix-up, through to major refurbishment of both functions and theatre facilities.
The team initiated a proposal to build a new theatre in the Ringwood Activity Centre, possibly integrated into a commercial development, to locate the performing arts activity in a more suitable, commercial precinct. Scenario costings ranged from $5 to $23m, while the Ringwood Activity Centre was costed at $27m.
