The redevelopment of the Kew Recreation Centre will deliver a new aquatic and recreation centre to meet current and future needs of the community. The centre will be accessible to users of all ages, abilities and fitness levels.

The redeveloped centre will provide a range of health and wellbeing options including a ten lane 25m pool, dedicated warm water and learn to swim pools, aqua play area, two indoor sports courts, gymnasium and additional community and fitness facilities.

Located on a busy main road in a vibrant activity centre, the design response focuses on delivering a shaded, green forecourt for the local community and centre users. The eight metre slope of the site provides the opportunity to locate all car parking, drop-off and pool plant in a semi-basement arrangement.
