Having worked on the Narre Warren campus since it opened in 2012, the new Junior Secondary Building is the fourth major building project WRA has delivered with the College, which now caters for over 750 students from Prep through to Year 12.
The project will provide new learning spaces and staff accommodation for years 7 to 9, the Supported Program of Applied Readiness for Community (SPARC), and the Learning Enrichment and Program Support (LEAPS) programs for the growing College population.
The Junior Secondary Building is located in what had been identified in the master plan as the Middle School part of the campus.
Significant new landscaping around the building will create two courtyards and sheltered outdoor learning spaces for students.
The proposal includes the following Internal spaces in the ground and first floors:
8 x GPLA that can be configured into 4 double-sized rooms
Breakout space
Multipurpose meeting rooms
2 x music GLA with practice rooms and music store
Dedicated SPARC and LEAPS areas
4 x Faculty Offices with shared Staff Social Area
Offices for Head of Secondary and Deputy Head of Secondary
